Looking back at what I gathered from school I realized that among the classes I attended, none had actually taught me in detail the specifics of how to handle or manage my own finances. Business and many of its branches covered finances in the broader perspective:    

• Commerce covered the exchange of goods, services and money

• Accounting concentrated on keeping records and reporting transactions involving the exchange of goods, services and money, to Management and Stakeholders

• Economics encompassed the production, distribution and consumption of goods, services and money

A close examination of the minor branches within these major branches such as Marketing, Business Strategy, Cost Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Macro Economics and Micro Economics, Public Finance revealed that there was still a missing piece, the personal side of finances and this information can be available through Personal Financial Planning.
